ZYGIMANTAS BALEVICIUS — INTERNSHIP IS A PERFECT CAREER TRAMPOLINE TO BOUNCE FROM

Zygimantas Balevicius, the A320 Mechanic and Part-145 Technical Records Engineer at our subsidiary Avion Express had a passion for aviation ever since his teenage years, which led him to study and gain a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical-Mechanical Engineering. However, Zygimantas’ career’s turning point was two internships at Avion Express.

Bjarki Sigfússon, Director Ground Operations & Production Planning at BBN Airlines, has been named Employee of the Year 2022 in the category of Improvement. Focused on preventing and resolving AOG and other irregularities occurring within operations, Bjarki’s performance has had a significant impact on reducing cancellations and delays across several different criteria. According to his colleagues, Bjarki never limits himself to his direct duties but instead takes the initiative and shows leadership in critical areas of operations.

Erika Romans, Department Specialist at Aviator, has been named Employee of the Year 2022 in the category of Innovation. Last year, her efforts, dedication, and innovative approach to passenger services and operations resulted in her commercial numbers exceeding targets by around +200%. Erika’s brilliant performance simply couldn’t have gone unnoticed — first nominated by the team and higher management, later she stunned the board with the outstanding results and, deservedly, was crowned the winner.

Dmitrij Kostojanskij, Chief Compliance Specialist at Baltic Ground Services (BGS), has been named Employee of the Year 2022 in the category of Safety/Heroism. His devotion to his work is active 24/7 and strongly evaluated by customer airlines. Dmitrij is responsible for an outstanding 93% score for implementation results with ISAGO (the best in their history) and a 44% decrease in audit findings.
