Job Purpose:
Manages, controls, and directs the activities and staff involved in the multiple functions of purchasing, material planning, stores, inventory control, and production control, traffic, shipping and receiving. Crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms. Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Receive aircraft materials, parts, tools, and equipment into the Technical Store.
- Verify material identification, quantity, condition, and supporting documentation prior to acceptance.
- Review and validate Authorized Release Certificates (e.g., EASA Form 1, FAA Form 8130-3, CAAT Authorized Release Certificate, or equivalent), as applicable.
- Label, identify, and store materials in designated locations in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper segregation and control of serviceable, unserviceable, quarantine, shelf-life controlled, Dangerous Goods (DG), and ESD-sensitive materials.
- Monitor shelf-life controlled items and notify the Technical Materials Supervisor of materials approaching expiration.
- Issue aircraft materials, parts, tools, and consumables only against authorized requests and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Update and maintain inventory records accurately and promptly within the inventory management system (e.g., AMOS or ERP).
- Perform routine stock checks and assist in cycle counts and periodic physical inventory counts.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, security, and good housekeeping practices within the Technical Store.
- Ensure storage conditions comply with specified requirements for temperature, humidity, security, and environmental protection where applicable.
- Report damaged materials, inventory discrepancies, missing documentation, suspected unapproved parts, or non-conformities to the Technical Materials Supervisor.
- Support internal audits, external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections related to Technical Store operations.
- Assist in continuous improvement activities related to inventory control, storage efficiency, and material management processes.
- Comply with company policies, quality requirements, aviation regulations, safety procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in related field or bachelor’s degree in any field, with education or training relevant to logistics or supply chain considered an advantage.
- Experience in aircraft stores is an advantage, aviation materials management, spare parts control, warehouse operations, or supply chain activities within an aviation environment.
- Knowledge of aircraft spare parts and aviation warehouse operations.
- Inventory control and stock management skills.
- Ability to use ERP/Warehouse Management Systems (AMOS).
- Good understanding of aviation regulations and material handling.
- Able to work shifts, overtime, and on-call assignments when required.
