Oracle Database Developer
Avia Solutions Group (ASG) Global Services Philippines is looking for an Oracle Database Developer to contribute to the operations of Sensus Aero.
This position is based in the ASG Global Services Philippines office in BGC, Taguig, under a hybrid setup and working on Atlantic Standard Time Zone.
Sensus Aero is a web-based ERP platform built for independent aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) organizations. Designed by aviation experts, it helps MRO companies manage complex workflows — from quoting and work orders to parts logistics, planning, and regulatory compliance. Our product is trusted by MRO clients across multiple geographies and is actively evolving toward a modern, scalable architecture.
Role Overview:
The Oracle Database Developer will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing the database layer of a multi-tenant Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) platform. This role is responsible for designing and enhancing Oracle PL/SQL solutions that support core business processes, APIs, integrations, reporting, and customer-specific functionality. Working as part of a remote Agile team, the Oracle Database Developer will collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performing, and reliable database solutions that support business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL objects including packages, procedures, functions, tables, views, types, triggers, and data patches.
• Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into robust and maintainable database solutions.
• Design, build, and extend database APIs consumed by backend and frontend applications.
• Develop and support integrations using database links, JSON/REST services, scheduled jobs, and other database-driven mechanisms.
• Implement and maintain customer-specific functionality while preserving the integrity of the shared application core.
• Analyze and resolve database performance issues using execution plans, SQL optimization techniques, and performance tuning best practices.
• Create and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Prepare deployment packages, installation scripts, and database patch releases.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement data fixes and recovery solutions when required.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements, identify gaps, and communicate technical solutions in business-friendly terms.
What we are looking for:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing Oracle PL/SQL solutions within enterprise applications or software products.
• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, including complex queries, packages, procedures, and database design concepts.
• Experience working with Oracle Database 19c or newer versions.
• Strong performance tuning and query optimization skills, including the ability to analyze execution plans and troubleshoot database bottlenecks.
• Experience building and supporting database-driven APIs, integrations, and automated processes.
• Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows, including branching, merge requests, and code reviews.
• Experience working within Agile development environments using tools such as Jira and GitLab.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in remote international teams.
• Ability to follow established coding standards, development processes, and existing codebase conventions.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with NestJS or similar Node.js frameworks such as Express or Fastify
• Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate (OCA) certification.
• Oracle Database PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional certification.
• Experience with utPLSQL or other database unit-testing frameworks.
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise system integrations.
• Exposure to multi-tenant platforms or customer-overlay architectures.
• Aviation maintenance, MRO, or related industry domain knowledge.
• Experience supporting highly configurable enterprise applications serving multiple customers from a shared platform architecture.
