Key responsibilities:
Exercise Operational Control and release of aircraft flight on co-authority basis with pilot in-command and for the joint responsibility of the safe efficient planning of flights accordance with the terms and conditions established by the Operational Flight Plan.Authorize, regulate and control both commercial and non-commercial flights according to government and company regulations to expedite and ensure safety of flight.Responsible for economics, passenger’s safety and operational control of day-to-day flight operations.Analyze and evaluate meteorological information to determine potential hazards to safety of flight and to select the most desirable and economic route of flight.Compute the amount of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to type of aircraft, distance of flight, maintenance limitations, weather conditions and minimum fuel requirements prescribed by company’s regulations and concerned.Plan all flights maximizing payload available through efficient planning and use of fuel (fuel tankering, cost index), weather information, ATC requirements etc., and to obtain the optimum route for every flight.Prepare the operational flight plan containing information such as maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights, weather forecast and reports, field conditions, NOTAMs and many other informational components required for the safe completion of flight.Prepare and sign the dispatch release which is the legal document providing authorization for a flight to depart.Monitor weather conditions, aircraft position reports, aeronautical navigation charts and aircraft radio calls to evaluate the progress and safety of the flight.Advise the pilots in command of significant changes to weather or the flight plan and recommends changes as required for the continued safe operation of the flight.Assist the commander of an aircraft with an emergency situation by providing any assistance necessary to ensure safe completion of the flight.Review and revises, as required, of the Operational Flight Plan for all scheduled and nonscheduled flights in keeping with safety and regulatory requirement.Co-ordinate with maintenance on aircraft conditions, discrepancies and any change to schedule.Co-ordinate with the concerned units to perform a smooth flight operations task.Perform an accident/Incident emergency response procedure as outlined in the manual.Check and revises the various publications which will be used for the flight dispatch purpose.Check all working equipment, communications and IT system within the workplace in a functional service.Carry out all concerned duties regarding Quality, Safety & Security required by the company.Communicate information policies, strategies correctly and effectively to all employees in order to apply in practice.Responsible for his/her career, self-development and continuous learning, which include participation in performance management system, training, knowledge management activities, and other development activities provided by the organization.Perform any tasks assigned by superior.
Qualifications and experience:
- Thai Nationality
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, Science, Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in relevant functions
- FOO/FD and airline related training
