Business Intelligence Developer. Taguig, Philippines (the)

Avia Solutions Group (ASG) Global Services Philippines is looking for a BI Developer to contribute to the operations of Chapman Freeborn International.

This position is based in the ASG Global Services Philippines office in BGC, Taguig, under a hybrid setup and working on EMEA Time Zone.

Chapman Freeborn International is a multi-award winning, global specialist in aircraft charter and aviation support, renowned for its innovation, expertise, and professionalism. Founded in 1973, bringing over 52 years of experience in providing tailored air charter solutions for both passenger and cargo transport.

Role Overview:

The BI Developer will play a key role in designing and maintaining modern data solutions that power business insights across the organization. This role is responsible for building scalable data pipelines, developing high‑quality Power BI dashboards, and contributing to greenfield projects and modern data stack migrations. Working in a code‑first environment, the BI Developer collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure data models, transformations, and analytics deliver accurate, reliable, and actionable information for decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and transformation layers within Azure Fabric.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Contribute to greenfield data platform builds and migrations to modern, scalable, and portable data stacks.
• Implement code‑first analytics and transformation workflows following software‑engineering best practices.
• Utilize orchestration frameworks and notebooks where beneficial to data processes.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business needs.

What we are looking for:

• At least 3 years of proven experience in BI development, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Strong SQL skills, including expertise in Kimball dimensional modeling.
• Hands‑on experience with BI tools.
• Solid understanding of data engineering and analytics engineering principles.
• Experience working in code‑first environments and building/maintaining data pipelines.
• Comfortable using Git, CLI workflows, and modern software-engineering practices.
• Exposure to Python and/or PySpark for data processing.
• General cloud experience: Azure preferred, but cloud‑agnostic backgrounds are welcome

Nice to Have:

• Python for API-based data ingestion.
• Experience with DBT or similar transformation frameworks.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
• Additional experience with PySpark, depending on the use case.
• Background in the aviation or travel industry (not required).
