Magma Aviation has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join the expanding team in Gatwick, UK. The successful candidate will have experience working with monthly management reports, enhancing report quality, assisting with budget processes, and overseeing inter-company reconciliations . We are looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, ready to support strategic financial decisions and enjoys problem solving complicated situations with a team-focused approach.

Purpose of the Role​

• To assist with various aspects of the Finance Department for Magma Aviation Limited, and Magma Aviation Group companies worldwide, ensuring the department contributes to the achievement of the organisation’s goals
• To provide financial analysis and reports to the management to enable them to monitor the business and make effective strategic decisions
• To provide and to advise the Management of the Company on Financial Matters​;

Key Responsibilities of the Role​

• Provide management reports to the Head of Finance, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors on a monthly basis in line with deadlines set
• Seek to improve the quality and usefulness of reports on an ongoing basis
• Assist management in cost efficiency
• Ensure the Commercial Department keep up to date with Commercial Flight Reports to allow weekly reporting of flight performance to the Board of Directors
• Assist the Senior management team with the Budgetary Process
• Assist (when necessary) and ensure department heads and brokers are provided with their relevant creditor’s reports weekly
• Oversee the preparation of inter-company reconciliation accurately and to required timescales to enable debt recovery and payment of balances owed
• Prepare the audit file on a yearly basis
• Deputising for head of finance on cash management tasks, when on leave or unavailable, including but not limited to:
• Overseeing, Understanding, managing, all aspects of cash flow
• Assisting the ledger supervisors in ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital requirements
• Oversee company’s various cash flow forecasts and perform financial modelling;
