Engine Project Manager. Lisbon, Portugal

YOUR TASKS:

  • To be responsible for all aspects of engine and engine module repairs and piece part teardowns of engines that are owned or managed.
  • Be in control of determining the project plan and project costs from the time of engine or module purchase to selling the engine or module.
  • Work with the engine department engineering team to develop work scopes and approaches MRO and teardown providers for quotes to perform engine and module repairs as well as teardowns.
  • Report on project progress and provides status reports to management, works with the sales team providing support during engine or module sales.
  • Travel to service provider facilities for table inspections, witness’s engine test cell runs and pre and posttest cell borescope inspections. There may be other occasions where the project manager will need to be present for engine related field work such as pre purchase inspections or buyer pre purchase inspections.
  • Lead all communication with the MRO, repair vendors and all internal departmental communications. Additionally, acts as contact person for any issues that may arise during engine management projects and responsible for solving those issues.
  • To be responsible for the review of all technical records during engine and engine module acquisitions and sales
  • Present the information obtained from record reviews in a logical and ordered way in order for management to make decisions on asset purchase and sales.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience and relevant qualifications in engine maintenance and engine shop visit project management, experience with the CFM56 engine family and V2500 product line is a must.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction; ability to interpret and apply technical data.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Quantum.
  • A strong consulting/negotiation skills with the capacity to deliver the best possible outcome for the company.
  • Ability to work independently, to be highly organized and detailed-oriented.
