Senior Powerplant Engineer. Vilnius, Lithuania / remote

ARE YOU READY TO?

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure efficient and competitive technical solutions.
  • Drive process improvement and cost reduction initiatives to enhance technical and operational performance.
  • Prepare, review, and approve technical data, Engineering Orders, and work instructions in compliance with airworthiness requirements, OEM recommendations and industry best practices.
  • Support MCC and Part-145 organizations, providing on-site/off-site technical assistance Monitor engine and APU health, issuing work orders where required.
  • Control life-limited parts, including back-to-birth documentation, ensuring accurate records in AMOS/Oases and the Aircraft Maintenance Program.
  • Oversee engine/APU delivery, re-delivery, and off-wing management, including inspections, MRO coordination, workscoping, repairs, and invoicing.
  • Investigate technical issues, repetitive defects, and reliability trends, implementing corrective actions to improve performance and prevent recurrence.
  • Support forecasting of engine removals, shop visits, and potential insurance claims.
  • Participate in tenders, contract, and commercial negotiations with customers, lessors, MROs, OEMs, and other partners.
  • Prepare financial business cases for technical decisions Actively contribute to developing internal Powerplant procedures and policies.
  • Lead and support Powerplant team development, delegating tasks and sharing expertise with junior engineers as/if needed.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

  • Experience with IAE V2500 and CFM56-5B engines; APU 131-9A and APS3200 (on-wing troubleshooting and off-wing shop visit management) – additional engine types will be an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of aircraft and engine lease and maintenance contracts, including end-of-lease processes.
  • In-depth understanding of safety and quality management systems, and EASA Part M, CAMO, Part 145, and Part 21 regulations.
  • Detailed knowledge of maintenance programs, technical reliability and condition monitoring tools and processes.
  • Aeronautical or related engineering degree (BSc or higher).
  • Strong leadership, project management, and supplier management skills with a proactive, adaptable approach.
  • Excellent English communication and solid computer skills.
  • Hands-on aircraft or engine experience; AMOS and ACMI experience are an advantage.

Salary: from 3000 € to 7000 € (brutto)
