System Administrator. Taguig, Philippines (the)

Avia Solutions Group (ASG) Global Services Philippines is looking for a System Administrator to join the Group’s Aviation Solutions and Corporate Integration department.

This position is based in the ASG Global Services Philippines office in BGC, Taguig, under a hybrid setup and working on the APAC Time Zone.

*Upon the first two months, you will be required to align your schedule with the Eastern European time zone for the training period.

Role Overview:

The System Administrator will ensure the stability, performance, and security of Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) software systems across multiple airlines within ASG. This role involves managing databases, integrations, and infrastructure while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to support seamless operations and data-driven decision-making. Ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and a collaborative mindset in a global aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Maintenance & Engineering system performance, availability, and scheduled jobs; apply patches, upgrade, and manage technical configurations.
  • Administer PostgreSQL databases, including backups, space usages, performance tuning, and issue resolution with vendors.
  • Define and execute backup, restore, failover, and system-level security procedures; manage SSL certificates and access controls.
  • Lead data migration activities and maintain integrations with third-party systems such as Flight Ops, Finance, ETL, DMS, and Supply Chain platforms.
  • Act as the primary technical administrator for M&E software across subsidiaries; coordinate escalations and advanced support with vendors.
  • Collaborate with functional administrators and IT teams to align system setup with operational needs and ensure high availability.
  • Ensure compliance with IT and aviation security standards across all supported systems.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any relevant course.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Administrator, preferably in aviation or enterprise IT environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DBMS administration (PostgreSQL) and operating systems (Linux).
  • Hands-on experience with system monitoring, patching, backups, and failover procedures.
  • Experience in data migration and ETL Processes.
  • Familiarity with system integration methods (APIs, web services, XML, JSON).
  • Exposure to Power BI and Azure is a plus.
  • Aviation industry experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
