About the Role

Reporting to the GM Safety & Quality, the Training & Compliance Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of aviation training programs for SmartLynx Australia, while carrying out Safety and Quality compliance functions.

The position can be based either at our Cairns office at Cairns Airport or at our Southbank office at 275 Grey Street, Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and maintain aviation training programs and online platforms, including CASR Part 142, Human Factors, Dangerous Goods, and Drug & Alcohol management, and report on training activities and employee expiries.

• Support the Safety Management System through safety reporting and collaboration with safety officers.

• Manage access to systems, staff identification, onboarding, and employee compliance tracking.

• Maintain organisational compliance, including risk registers, safety and quality systems, environmental matters, and corporate regulations.

• Oversee customer and supplier databases to ensure regulatory and ASG compliance.

• Perform other reasonable duties as directed by the GM, Safety and Quality.

About You

• Degree in aviation, education, or related field, or equivalent aviation experience.

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Managing Aviation Compliance (or equivalent), with aviation training experience and staff compliance oversight.

• Strong knowledge of Human Factors, Non-Technical Skills, aviation safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

• Excellent organisational, time-management, project planning, and communication skills.

• Willing to travel domestically for training purposes.

• Current ASIC or ability to obtain.

• Proficient in compliance management software.
