About the team

We are a team of 12 people leading digital transformation initiatives for FL Technics' aviation parts trading activity. Our mission is to automate various business processes, increase efficiency, and enable new possibilities. Our team focuses on a range of solutions; some we can acquire off-the-shelf and integrate, while others we must develop in-house. Our development efforts typically involve expanding the capabilities of our ERP by creating custom applications.

We are looking for a Lead of the Software Development Group. This is a well-established position with a clear set of responsibilities, which can be adjusted to a candidate's strengths if needed.

YOUR TASKS:

Manage and provide detailed planning for 3-4 major, ongoing projects.
Evaluate and assign a backlog of smaller tasks to development resources.
Actively manage communication with project and task stakeholders.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

Project management knowledge. Our team uses a process that combines elements from different project management methodologies. While we have found what works for us, we are always open to new ideas and improvements.
Business process analysis. A crucial part of this role is to understand business needs and translate them into tasks for developers. It is vital to have the skills to structure tasks, requirements, and related risks.
Team management skills. This is optional and depends on the candidate's experience.
