With the opening of our new hangar in Punta Cana, we are actively seeking exceptional individuals to join our MRO family and now we are looking for the experienced Head of Accounting.
YOUR TASKS:
• Organize and perform the financial-accounting activity of the company in compliance with IFRS and Group policies, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial data and statutory reporting.
• Accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing - perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
• Tax accounting, compliance with statutory requirements, timely preparation and filing of appropriate returns, documents, reports to local authorities (in Dominican Republic).
• Payroll calculation and accounting (according to Dominical Republic law and requirements).
• Close cooperation with external tax and payroll consultants to ensure timely and accurate compliance to local laws.
• Preparation of monthly group reporting packages, financial reports etc.
• Lead implementation of finance ERP and further integrations, optimizing accounting processes to achieve efficiency and ensure control.
• Assistance in auditing activities if needed.
• Various other activities and ad-hoc requests.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:
• Degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Experience of at least 3-4 years in chief accountant/senior accountant/head of accounting/finance/controlling division position, preferably international.
• Knowledge of local accounting standards, accountability, and taxes.
• Particularly good communication, organization, and planning skills.
• Proactiveness, ability to work in multicultural team and to handle requirements of several stakeholders.
• Fluent Spanish and good working English language skills (written and oral), as well as computer literacy (MS Excel).
• Advantages: previous experience with MS Dynamics (Navision)/Business Central; reporting of financial statements under IFRS.
