Finance Senior Manager (Fleet Technical Management). Dublin, Ireland

 

Avia Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Sr. Manager - Fleet Technical Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the aviation industry, with expertise in contracts, process supervision, financial modeling. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and compliance within our organization.

Success means : Visibility, understanding of strengths and weaknesses, sharing of best practices among the airlines of the Avia Solutions Group.

 

Reporting line : A member of the Board of Directors

Main base : Dublin, Ireland/ Dubai UAE/ could be where ASG offices are in Europe

Workplace type: Full time, onsite

Travel : As necessary and when necessary, within Europe and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Understanding the maintenance requirements (Near-Term, Medium Term and Long Term) of each airline of the Avia Solutions Group.
  • Building a file to monitor the maintenance plan.
  • Assessing & reporting the level of preparedness of each airline to adequately handle the near-term maintenance events.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and supplier performance and develop strategies to implement these improvements. 
  • Supporting the understanding of each airline technical / maintenance / fleet team members that interfaces with their lessor counterpart for them to

             a) Fully use the available maintenance reserves (lessor contribution & lessee accrued MRs since the delivery date) towards a given maintenance event.

             b) Renegotiate with the lessor certain aspect of the minimum work-scope & the redelivery conditions as necessary to

               i. protect the airline from the risk of a lessee top-up.

               ii. adjust the lessor contribution so it matches the realities of the maintenance plan (example – SI task cards embedded in the C-check packages)

             c) prepares the redelivery of an aircraft or a spare engine or a major component back to its owner/lessor.

             d) defines steps to prepare appropriately & timely for the redelivery & issue guidelines to each airline.

             e) follows the progress of each airline along the guidelines & report accordingly.

              

  • Get involved as needed in the selection of an MRO software solution and a document storage / inventorying solution for the airlines of ASG.
  • In relation to points above build a report which will be shared with several members of the board as well as the CEOs of the airlines on a quarterly basis

 

Qualifications: 

  • Fluency in operating lease documentation,
  • Fluency in maintenance project management, 
  • Fluency in economic life cycle of an Aircraft & its parts,
  • Strong interest in data mining
  • Relationships with lessors
  • Relationships with the commercial teams at various Maintenance & Repair Organization, Microsoft suite software : word, excel etc. 
  • Languages: Fluent in English (all aspects), any additional language is welcomed
  • Ability to travel within Europe without any need for obtaining a Schengen visa.
  • Analytical, diligent, willing to share, confident, articulate, critical thinking
