Non-Type Rated UK ATPL Captains. Gatwick, United Kingdom

New AOC holder Ascend Airways are operating a small fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (NG and MAX) in the ACMI market, opening its first operational base at London Gatwick Airport. Acquired by Avia Solutions Group, already the world’s largest ACMI provider with over 200 airliners in operation.

We are seeking candidates for positions as Non Type Rated Captains as we now offer a Type Rating Course. The offer includes a bond to cover the cost of the type rating course of £35,000 over 3 years. If the employment is left before the 3 years:

25-36 Months after completion                                           One third of the cost of the course 

Salary and remunerations

• £120,000 gross per annum (Basic Salary)
• 6% pension (on base salary)
• £13 flight pay per block hour
• Loyalty payment from May 25 and then annually (£4000 pro rata for part time)
• Per diems while away from base paid at maximum tax free amount permissible, variable, depending on destination ( based on government website https://www.gov.uk/guidance/expenses-rates-for-employees-travelling-outside-the-uk)

Other terms

• A minimum of 10 days off per month
• 42 days annual leave
• A maximum of eight days’ leave between 1 June and 15 September  
• Parking at your base paid by the Company.
• Medical renewals paid by the Company.
• 3 ‘golden days’ per year, on which you will be rostered days off at your home base
• Loss of license insurance
• Other benefits according to our policies and in force at that time.
• Travel insurance with Death insurance when traveling.

Requirements

• Unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom
• UK Class One medical certificate without restrictions (other than for spectacles/contact lenses)
• Willing to maintain a home address within 90 minutes travelling time of London Gatwick
• UK ATPL
• A minimum of 3,000 hours on on AC with MTOW> 60 tonnes
• A minimum of 500 hours PIC on any Boeing or Airbus
