Role Overview:
A Safety, Security, and Quality (SSQ) Junior Supervisor (OHSE) in Safety, Security, and Quality Department is responsible for carry out general administration and coordination tasks relating to Occupation Health, Safety and Environment and also support in implementing, and overseeing the airline's safety, Security, and Quality program. This includes identifying and assessing safety and Security risks, developing and implementing safety and security policies and procedures, conducting safety, security, and quality audits, and investigating safety, security, and quality incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety, Security and Quality assurance Compliance/Oversight:
- To carry out general administration and coordination tasks relating to Occupation Health, Safety and Environment
- To analyze work plans and projects to indicate possible dangers, as well as recommendation reports of every working unit; and to provide advice on safety measures to the employer.
- To be responsible for all risk assessments and associated control measures undertaken, ensuring they are prepared, reviewed and updated as required and that accurate records are maintained.
- To prepare data and reports for presentations related to Health and Safety issues and provide guidance on health and safety, promote awareness and good practices. Lead health and safety initiatives.
- To be a main supporter of regular emergency risk assessments, emergency plans, drills and other evacuation procedures to an agreed schedule.
- To ensure that all company staff and contractors adhere to the relevant health and safety regulations and to ensure that any equipment that they are using including any areas that they are working in are not hazardous or dangerous
- To support in evaluating and reviewing all health and safety policies and procedures, ensure they are effective and compliant with legislative and related regulations
- To conduct other occupational safety activities as assigned by the employer
- To maintain a working knowledge of current legislation relating to health and safety and fire regulations, and monitor emerging legislation, and feed these into policy and procedure changes and staff training
- To support in oversee and enforce adherence to aviation safety, security and quality assurance regulations and industry best practices.
- To support in conduct regular internal/external safety, security and quality assurance inspections and audits to identify potential hazards/threats/area of improvement also recommend corrective and preventive actions/mitigation.
- To support in ensuring the implement corrective and preventive actions/mitigation are in place for safety, security and quality assurance efficiency.
- Assist to develop and implement safety, security and quality assurance procedures and protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist to manage security protocols to aviation security personnel, aircraft, and facilities.
- To support in monitor and assess safety and security risks and threats and implement measures to mitigate them.
- To support in coordinate with relevant authorities and agencies to ensure compliance with safety, security and quality assurance regulations.
- Assist to establish and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS).
- To support in conduct internal and external quality audits to evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement.
- To support in implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Emergency Response and Preparedness:
- Assist to develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios, ensuring staff are adequately trained.
- Coordinate drills and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of emergency protocols.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of safety, security, and quality-related activities and incidents.
- Generate reports for senior management and regulatory authorities, highlighting key performance indicators and compliance status.
Training and Education:
- Assist to provide training and awareness programs for employees on safety, security, and quality protocols.
- Stay updated with industry trends and disseminate relevant information to the team.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Keep abreast of changes in aviation regulations, ensuring that the airline remains in full compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to address any inquiries or concerns related to safety, security, and quality matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 , ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 is advantage.
- Knowledge of Risk Assessment, Hazard Identification and Emergency Response is advantage
- Good English skill (speaking and writing)
- Knowledge of aviation regulations, industry standards, and best practices is advantage.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting such as Microsoft 365.
- Able to work individually under pressure
