MCC Engineer. Santa Venera, Malta

As an MCC Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the aircraft's timely and safe release while maintaining airworthiness. You will collaborate closely with operations, maintenance providers, and other stakeholders to support efficient scheduling, defect rectification, and real-time communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure aircraft are released timely, airworthy, and in a safe manner.
  • Liaise closely with operations to ensure aircraft meet scheduled departures.
  • Manage AOG recovery in collaboration with stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain direct and real-time communication with OCC at all times.
  • Coordinate Aircraft Maintenance Schedule/Operations Schedule, Base Maintenance, and Line Stations to align aircraft for defect rectification.
  • Liaise with line maintenance providers to ensure planned maintenance is performed.
  • Maintain daily activity logs and reports under agreed procedures.
  • Support contracted AMOs and the engineering department with the interpretation of maintenance data and troubleshooting guidance.
  • Assist flight crews and contracted maintenance providers in completing the ETL.
  • Prepare delay reports and daily critical reports.
  • Maintain agreed levels of deferred defects, including MELs and DMIs.

Requirements:

  • B1 or B2 Licensed Engineer with current or previous approvals on A320-21/B737 or similar types, supported by relevant training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Aircraft Maintenance experience, preferably within MCC or line maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of Part 145 and Part M regulations, with experience applying them in practice.
  • Proficiency in using AirNavX/MyBoeingFleet, standard MS Office tools, and excellent command of English (spoken and written).
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize technical tasks effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to connect team performance to broader business goals.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining safety and compliance standards.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
