About The Role

Reporting to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager, the Airworthiness Engineer Officer supports the continued airworthiness of the Skytrans fleet by ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, conducting airworthiness activities, and providing technical support to the Part 42 Airworthiness department.

This is a full-time position with flexible hours based in our head office at Cairns Airport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate aircraft technical records, manuals, and airworthiness systems in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuing airworthiness activities, including airworthiness reviews and compliance monitoring.
  • Review and assess regulatory documentation, including Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
  • Provide technical administration support and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support to Technical Services activities and assist the Continuing Airworthiness Manager as required.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in continuing airworthiness management or a related aviation technical environment, with knowledge of aircraft maintenance, technical records, and regulatory requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of CASA regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements, including CASR Part 42 and applicable airworthiness standards.
  • Sound understanding of aircraft systems, technical documentation, and airworthiness requirements within a regulated aviation environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), or the ability to obtain one.
