Our immediate objectives are building up data governance processes and practices and developing a modern, highly scalable, reliable, and secure data warehousing service.  This is a green field initiative, meaning that you will be able to participate in the creation of a brand-new data management practice and have the chance to build it like you have always wanted to. To that end we are seeking ambitious and highly motivated individuals with experience and skills in the data management and data technology domains and a good understanding of the data value chain. 

You will report directly to the Head of Data, so you can be sure that your ideas will be heard, and you will truly have a chance to make a direct impact in the way we build up the practice. 

YOUR TASKS:

  • Design, develop, maintain and continuously improving highly scalable and reliable ETL/ELT solutions and other key data & analytics infrastructure components;
  • Taking part in data migration, technology modernization and new data products development projects ensuring technical and qualitative characteristics in line with defined requirements; 
  • Increase the speed-to-insights through outcome-focused, practical and scalable data engineering solutions;
  • Creatively collaborate with broader Data & Analytics and IT community to continuously improve interconnectedness of data repositories, enabling optimal use of IT infrastructure and adopting modern technologies in the data engineering domain; 
  • Develop yourself and people around you to foster data literacy and data culture. 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • Willingness to grow and develop in the data and analytics domain;
  • 2-3 years of data engineering experience in data warehousing, analytics engineering, business intelligence, data science or similar.;
  • Experience working with large amounts of enterprise data and organizing it into structured, meaningful, scalable, and secure databases;
  • Experience with or strong willingness to learn the following (or equivalent) technologies and tools: SQL, Python, Spark, APIs, CDC, Azure Fabric, DBT, Great Expectations, Azure DevOps, GIT;
  • A strong understanding of how technological data solutions contribute to realization of end-user value from data and analytics products;
  • Experienced in system and data model analysis, understanding, and producing relevant technical documentation;
  • Familiarity with information/data management concepts such as data lineage/traceability, data governance, data ownership, personal data management, data quality assurance and technological solutions/tools underpinning these concepts;
  • Strong ability to proactively identify, formulate problems and propose solutions;
  • Positive can-do attitude and willingness to get things done;
  • Experience in Agile ways of working;
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; 
  • Good English knowledge, both speaking and writing.

Salary: from 4000 € to 5000 € (brutto)
