Lead Design Engineer. Vilnius, Lithuania

About the position:

  • Preparing technical evaluations in accordance with customers‘ requests
  • Managing projects by planning resources, including staff, and ensuring that project deadlines are met
  • Forseeing[AS1]  possible risks for any particular project
  • Liaising with customers, production and maintenance organizations, internal departments
  • Preparing/checking work instruction bulletins and drawings for a repair/modification in accordance with Part 21J regulations
  • Preparing/checking technical reports for any required calculations, analysis, test plans, inspections in accordance with Part 21J regulations
  • Preparing/checking certification documents (showing compliance against CS/JAR 25 requirements) in accordance with Part 21J regulations
  • Managing and developing a team of Junior Engineers

What you bring:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably in Aviation or Aerospace engineering)
  • At least 4 years of Part 21J experience as a design/cabin safety engineer (Design Approval Organization)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent workload planning and risk analysis skills
  • Experience of working with various Minor design modifications (e. g. Emergency Equipment Layout changes, Livery changes, placard internal and external applications, Textile and non-textile component certification and installation etc.)
  • Experience of working with cabin refurbishment/seat layout change (LOPA change) modifications would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge and ability to demonstrate compliance against the most common Cabin Safety related requirements of CS/JAR/FAR 25 (25.601, 25.785, 25.791, 25.803, 25.811, 25.812, 25.813, 25.815, 25.853, 25.1411, 1413, 25.1415, 1441, 25.1439, 25.1529, 25.1541, 25.1561).
  • Ability to demonstrate compliance against CS 25.562 would be a considerable advantage.
  • Knowledge of standard aircraft documentation (AMM, IPC, SRM, WBM, MMEL etc.) and original TC Holders drawings, part lists and standards (Boeing and Airbus)
  • Experience of working with CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
  • Ability to prepare technical design documentation in accordance with Part 21J requirements (Drawings, SB’s, Compliance documents, supporting Technical reports, Publication supplements etc.)
