Aviation wheels and brakes workshop mechanic. Hanover, Germany

Job Description:

  • Assembly and disassembly of wheels and brakes as well as their substructure components
  • Cleaning of components
  • Carrying out diagnostic and inspection work
  • Visual and dimensional inspection of wheel/brake components and assemblies
  • Application of several non-destructive material testing methods (according to DIN EN 4179)
  • Identification and initiation of additional examinations
  • Determination and initiation of necessary repairs on components
  • Evaluation and documentation of test results under consideration of valid instructions, guidelines, regulations etc
  • Reading and implementing the manufacturer and customer documentation
  • Carrying out the final inspection
  • General workshop work

Requirements: 

  • Apprenticeship as a painter
  • Experience as painter
  • Preferable work experience such as automotive mechatronics
  • Craftsmanship and technical experience
  • Quick comprehension
  • Team spirit
  • Willingness to service and ability to work under pressure
  • Careful and conscientious way of working
  • Several years of work experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of English
  • Willingness to do shift work
  • Driving licence class B
