Group Digital Marketing Manager. Gatwick, United Kingdom

We are currently searching for an experienced and motivated Group Digital Marketing Manager to join our growing Group Marketing team at our Head Office in Gatwick.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Digital Marketing with particular focus on creating and managing digital campaigns, website management and analysing statistics using tools such as Google Analytics.

A collaborative and hands-on leader, the successful candidate will enjoy developing others and be able to manage the team workload effectively.  The Group Marketing team has colleagues in UK, Germany, China and the US so a candidate with experience of managing employees remotely would be highly desirable, but flexibility and understanding of different cultures is crucial. It is essential for an applicant to bring experience in implementing a marketing strategy and motivating their team to follow the shared vision.

A creative and innovative skillset is required to succeed in this role, but a focus on process development and improvement is also necessary to support the Group Marketing team in moving toward a more strategic future.

The Group Marketing team has been recently restructured and features two channels – Digital Marketing and PR and Communications. Due to this, a strong communicator and team player is required for this role, as the successful candidate will be expected to support the PR and Communications team when needed, deputising for the PR and Communications Manager on occasion.

Purpose of Role

  • The Group Digital Marketing Manager position is a key global role which entails leadership in strengthening our online presence and reinforcing our digital marketing efforts worldwide.
  • To work in close partnership with global marketing colleagues, senior managers and country teams around the world to develop and enhance the group’s global websites, as well as managing creative digital campaigns that meet the group’s objectives for online development, new business generation and customer engagement.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic management of the company’s digital marketing strategy and day-to-day management of the digital marketing team.
  • To create and promote websites that support Chapman Freeborn’s core business activities (cargo/private jets/commercial charters) on a global basis, as well as subsidiary businesses such as Chapman Freeborn OBC, Intradco, Magma Aviation, and Arcus Air Logistics.
  • Managing, maintaining and reviewing our relationships with external web agencies, freelance developers, SEO and PPC providers, A-B testing companies
  • Establishing and overseeing the execution of the digital team’s targeted e-marketing strategy – including our relationship with third party e-marketing providers.
  • Work with the communications team to execution the team’s targeted social media strategy – including designing images and creative content generation.
  • Key role in working with our in-house CRM system developer and the IT department to ensure systems are functioning – for example data capture and unsubscribe requirements in relation to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Analysing and reporting on all digital marketing activities through both internal systems and using external software such as Google Analytics. Measuring the success of all campaigns with a focus on securing profitable new business.
  • Maintaining and promoting adherence to the Chapman Freeborn Corporate Identity Guidelines through digital marketing activities.

Leadership

  • To deputise for the Group PR & Communications Manager, for example to provide team guidance and support in their absence.
  • To become a brand ambassador for the Chapman Freeborn Group and to build strong internal business relationships with Chapman Freeborn’s charter broker and functional department teams. Work as a close-nit team with the Avia Solutions Group and Chapman Freeborn’s marketing team encouraging effective and engaging communication between the teams.
  • To lead the digital marketing channel and personnel in line with the marketing strategy.
