Avia Solutions Group (ASG) Global Service Philippines is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Group’s Digital Technologies Department. This individual will support the Data Analytics and Reporting team in implementing best practices and driving maturity in the group-wide data strategy.
The Data Analytics and Reporting team collaborates with ASG subsidiary companies worldwide to enhance processes and drive data-informed business decisions through the integration of the Microsoft data stack: MS Fabric and Power BI.
Reporting to ASG Digitial Technologies, this position will be based in the ASG Global Services Philippines office in BGC, Taguig City, under a Hybrid setup, working in the EMEA time zone.
In this position you will:
- Develop the ASG Data warehouse.
- Design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve ETL/ELT solutions and other key data & analytics infrastructure components.
- Consult the Group’s companies about Data warehouse deployment best practices.
- Mentor and coach team members to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
- Perform data analysis tasks, mostly working with transformation and validation.
- Collaborate with other teams within the Group’s head office to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements and Skillset:
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Understanding of Data warehouse architecture types.
- Knowledge of advanced Data warehouse modeling techniques (Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault).
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize queries (any relational DB, preferably MS SQL).
- Python skills (preferably PySpark).
- Familiar with cloud data tools.
Would be nice if you:
- Have experience with MS Fabric or other Microsoft data stack tools.
- Have experience with Qlik-Sense/Qlik-View.
- Are familiar with ITSM principles.
