Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all ground handling and cargo operations comply with aviation regulations, safety, security, and company policies.
  • Manage daily station operations to achieve operational efficiency, service quality, and business goals.
  • Lead and support station teams on operational, people, communication, and performance-related matters.
  • Make operational decisions related to safety, security, and risk management.
  • Oversee ground handling and cargo activities, ensuring safe, secure, and effective operations.
  • Manage station budgets, operational costs, and investment proposals for equipment, technology, and infrastructure.
  • Monitor station performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adequate facilities, equipment, resources, and work environments are available to support operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Lead training programs for ground operations staff and handling agents, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and service standards.
  • Design, review, and improve training materials in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Analyze operational data, delays, and performance trends; prepare reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
  • Promote a data-driven culture and use analytics to improve operational performance.
  • Build strong working relationships with employees, management, and business partners.
  • Foster a "Just Culture" by encouraging open reporting of incidents and safety concerns.
  • Ensure all safety and security measures, controls, and KPIs are implemented and monitored effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in airline ground handling and/or cargo operations.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, safety, and security standards related to ground and cargo operations.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational resource management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing operational requirements and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
