Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, such balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts
- Overseeing the accounting and reporting process for a aspects of the airline's business, including revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable finance reporting standards and regulations
- Managing the airline's risk management program
- Providing financial advice and counsel to the CFO and other members of the management team
- Developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures
- Hiring and managing the finance and accounting team
- Managing the airline's cash flow and investments
- Developing and implementing new accounting systems and procedures
- Overseeing the airline's tax planning and compliance
- Conducting financial audits and reviews
- Working with external auditors and other financial professionals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in finance and accounting roles. With min 3 years inSenior Manager roles.
- Business Acumen: A deep understanding of business principles and financial management is necessary.
- Strong understanding of aviation-specific financial regulations and practices.
- Strong in Strategic Thinking and Planning.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of effectively managing teams and departments.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders
- Ethical Conduct: Upholding high ethical standards and demonstrating integrity in decision-making and business practices is expected
