Skytrans Australia is seeking an experienced Aircraft Project & CAMO Engineer to join our Continuing Airworthiness team in Cairns. This is a key technical and project-focused role, responsible for managing aircraft entry-into-service projects while supporting the ongoing airworthiness of our fleet.

Reporting to the General Manager Engineering, you will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, technical integrity, and operational readiness across our aircraft operations.

About the role

In this position, you will:

• Lead and manage aircraft entry into service (EIS) projects, ensuring all regulatory and operational requirements are met
• Support the continuous airworthiness of the fleet in accordance with CASA regulations
• Develop, review and maintain technical documentation, manuals and expositions
• Ensure compliance with CASR Part 42 and Part 145 requirements
• Provide technical advice and operational support to engineering, flight operations and maintenance teams
• Act as an alternate CAM when required
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors to deliver projects efficiently and safely

About us:

To be successful, you will bring:

Essential:

• Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
• Previous experience within a CASA CAMO
• Experience with aircraft entry into service activities
• Strong knowledge of Part 42 and Part 145 CASRs
• Experience writing technical documentation and manuals
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions under pressure
• Strategic mindset with strong attention to detail

Desirable:

• Dash 8 experience
• Airbus aircraft experience
• Previous experience acting as, or supporting, a CAM

You will also be fit for work and hold a valid Class 1 Medical.
