Network Planning Officer. Gatwick, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the)

Magma Aviation has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Planning Officer to join the expanding team in Gatwick, UK. The successful candidate will have experience in network planning, charter operations, or a related aviation logistics function, with cargo handling and international flight coordination being most desirable. We seek a candidate who remains calm under pressure, excels at resolving complex disruptions (e.g., schedule recovery or service issues), and thrives in a collaborative environment with internal stakeholders and external partners like airlines, handlers, and suppliers.

Purpose of the Role

  • Implement and manage the Company’s network and charter operations, in line with budget and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a central point of contact between customers, suppliers and airline partners.
  • Provide operational guidance to the Company’s Commercial, Finance and Operations departments.​

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • In conjunction with the Network Supervisor/Manager, oversee the cost effective and compliant planning and execution of the Company’s flight programme, in close liaison with the Commercial and Operations departments.
  • Manage operational disruption, implementing recovery scenarios to mitigate customer impact.
  • ​Arrange and manage all service requirements for the Company’s network and charter operations, including (but not limited to): Overflight and landing permits Ramp handling services and airport slots Cargo handling services, including customer responsibilities for cargo delivery and collection, ULD build-up and breakdown, and load ability coordination, in conjunction with the Company’s Ground Services and Special Loads department Fuel arrangements (including the calculation of optimal fuel policies) Electronic data requirements and customs filing. Any additional services in line with customer or airline requirements.
  • ​Act as the point of contact between customers, suppliers and airline partners for all charter operations.
  • ​Publish the final charter handover to the Operations Control team and Commercial departments, as well as external customers, -72hrs to STD or when trip setup has been finalised.
  • ​Ensure all requested services and supplier information are recorded in company IT software.
  • ​Approve invoices for services arranged by the department.​​

  • Minimum 2 Years of relevant experience
  • To be based near Gatwick
  • Excellent communication skills at an effective operational command
  • Experience in Aviation industry
  • Team player to work in a fast-paced environment​
