Senior Accountant. Vilnius, Lithuania

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join KlasJet and take an important role in ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes. In this position, you will oversee key accounting activities, support month-end closing, guide accountants and act as a backup for the Chief Accountant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and control primary accounting processes, including reviewing journal entries, sales reconciliations and other accounting transactions;
• Coordinate and perform month-end closing procedures;
• Guide accountants and review their work;
• Improve accounting controls and month-end closing procedures;
• Support budgeting, audits and tax reporting;
• Review and reconcile customer and supplier balances;
• Prepare and submit statutory reports to the State Data Agency and the State Social Insurance Fund Board (SODRA);
• Prepare and submit required financial data to the Bank of Lithuania;
• Perform IFRS 16 lease calculations and maintain the related accounting records;
• Act as a backup for the Chief Accountant and gradually assume selected responsibilities.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Good knowledge of Lithuanian accounting and tax legislation.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and document preparation requirements.
• Good MS Office skills.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an advantage.
• Good English language skills would be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
