​Purpose of Role

  • ​The core role is operational management of Intradco Global clients and their air freight shipments. This includes schedule/per kilo shipments, part-charter and full charters.
  • Operational responsibilities to include:
    • Make all arrangements for each flight, post-contractual handover through to safe delivery of the Animals / Cargo.
    • Pre-flight information transmission to Airlines, Ground Operations teams and close liaison with other third-party providers to ensure our customers receive an excellent customer service throughout and receive the services they require.
    • This role demands attention to detail, and the ability to work within set procedures to maximise business opportunities by offering tailored solutions to meet client requirements within budgetary and operational restrictions whilst making suitable profit for the company.
  • Contribute towards innovative solutions, processes, product development that help keep Intradco at the forefront of specialized Live Animal logistics.
  • To help continue a culture of creative thinking, precise execution, and fun throughout the whole Intradco team globally

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational management 

  • Operationally manage complex air charter/freight/project movements. This will primarily be focused on live animal shipments, but may also include - Event logistics, Perishables, Foodstuffs, Pharma, and other cool chain industries.
  • Be a first point of contact for key clients to discuss, design and execute operational plans for their respective projects.
  • Build and maintain a global network of contacts and suppliers, including relationships with localized agents, handling agents, ULD/stall providers, customs agents, and ground transport companies.
  • Provide customs advice to clients and the internal team, ensuring adherence to global customs protocols, custom entries, and efficient stall/ULD logistics.
  • Effectively communicate cargo operations protocols and improvements to the local and global team, emphasizing key handover and pre-flight briefing details.
  • Address specific non-standard requirements from clients and assist in making bespoke arrangements as needed.
  • Generate airway bills, shipper certificates, operational plans, and customs documentation, ensuring timely distribution to all relevant parties.
  • Maintain communication with all involved parties to gather and share relevant flight documentation and keep a watchful eye on live flying programs.
  • Ensure the proper updating of operational planning procedures, Trello checklists, and shared drive information, and generate comprehensive Operational Planning Documents for each flight.
  • Foster collaboration within the team and offer ground support and pre-dispatch flight management when required, including covering out-of-hours operations if needed.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Airport operations experience
  • Proficient in multiple languages (not required, but highly preferred)
