Training Operations Director. Vilnius, Lithuania

Training Operations Director at BAA Training is responsible for the overall planning and management of aviation training activities across multiple locations. This position requires a strong focus on lean operations, cost control, strategic thinking, and effective management and team leadership. The Training Operations Director reports directly to the CEO and collaborates closely with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 

We promise a highly challenging field and wide scope of responsibilities, which will initially cover: 

  • Oversee and manage teams of engineering, aviation training planning, aviation personnel, customer care, product development and other, creating a positive and productive work environment
  • Ensure that training programs are scheduled effectively and that simulators are used efficiently.
  • Ensure that there are enough instructors to meet training demand and that they can deliver high-quality training. 
  • Develop and deliver standard and exclusive training products that meet the needs of the market. 
  • Ensure that customers are satisfied with the training they receive. 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other business lines, ensuring that their activities are aligned with the organization's objectives and standards. 
  • Collaborate with other BAA Training locations to ensure that training plans and operations are consistent across all locations. 
  • Promote professional development for direct reports, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations. 
  • Develop and implement strategies and tools to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and optimize resource utilization. 
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions as needed. 
  • Stay up to date on aviation regulations, industry standards, and updates from relevant authorities. 
  • Ensure that all training programs, aircraft operations, and crew activities adhere to regulatory requirements and safety standards. 
  • Liaise with external partners, clients, and regulatory bodies to maintain positive relationships and uphold the company's reputation. 
  • Prepare regular operational reports for the CEO, highlighting key performance indicators, achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions. 
  • Communicate effectively with the executive team, providing updates on departmental activities and contributing to strategic decision-making. 
  • Work according to approved company processes. 
  • Work with the company's IT systems to monitor and ensure a smooth Crew Training Operations process. 
  • Participate in daily meetings based on Lean principles. 
  • Set and achieve short-term and long-term goals in accordance with the company's strategic goals. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the direct manager.
