PR & Communications Executive. Gatwick, United Kingdom

We currently have a new and exciting opportunity for a PR & Communications Executive to join our expanding Group Marketing team in Gatwick, UK.  The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in a marketing department and will be keen to develop in a close knit and creative global team.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in marketing and communications and will be happy to shadow and support the Group Communications & PR Manager with PR related items. Whilst not essential, a relevant marketing qualification such as a CIM professional qualification or a degree in PR or Communications would be very desirable.  To do well in this role, the successful candidate will be a personable individual, who enjoys networking and building relationships, particularly with internal brokers in order to support commercial sales strategies.

Creativity and passion for PR and Communications activities is essential for a candidate to succeed in this role – copywriting and creative writing will be required across several channels, both internally and externally. Confidence in preparing communications is also a requirement as the job role holder will be tasked with creating brochures, sales leaflets and other marketing materials.

A candidate who is experienced with Hootsuite would be highly desirable, as they will be responsible for updating our social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Acting as a brand ambassador, the successful candidate will help to grow our follower base by creating engaging content plans and schedules.

Purpose of Role

  • To support the Group Communication & PR Manager in implementing an innovative branding strategy in order to play an essential role in our plans to continuously grow the company moving forward.
  • To assist on public relations activities across the Chapman Freeborn Group to help raise the company profile with our key target audiences.
  • To create and execute a social media content plan, schedule and measure the effectiveness of all social media communications.
  • To copy write for all social media channels and create compelling blog content and news stories.
  • To create marketing material such as brochures and leaflets and to support in the design, production and distribution of company literature and promotional items.
  • To become a brand ambassador for the Chapman Freeborn Group and to build strong internal business relationships with Chapman Freeborn’s charter broker and functional department teams. Work as a close-nit team with the Avia Solutions Group and Chapman Freeborn’s marketing team encouraging effective and engaging communication between the teams.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Public Relations activities
  • Assist the Group PR & Communications Manager in overseeing our media profile.
  • You will become an ambassador for the company and identify new opportunities that will increase our reach.

Corporate and internal Communications

  • Create and execute an engaging social media content plan and schedule. Provide regular updates and reports to the Group PR & Communications Manager on the effectiveness of social media communications.
  • To copywrite creative and engaging content for Chapman Freeborn’s core business activities (cargo/private jets/commercial charters) on a global basis, including our subsidiaries such as Magma, OBC and Intradco. Publish and share content on all social media channels and create blog content and news stories.
  • Support the Group HR team to develop Chapman Freeborn as a Best Companies to work for Brand and help to develop strong internal staffing communication. Spread the word on social media.
  • Pro-actively grow the Chapman Freeborn’s follower base on social media.
  • Create innovative marketing material such as brochures and leaflets.
  • Support in the design, production and distribution of company literature and promotional items.
  • Support in developing the Chapman Freeborn Intranet communication tool and internal messaging. Participate in conference calls to ensure effective sharing of information and full awareness of others in the Group Marketing team and other offices.
