Group Bid and Proposal Writer. Gatwick, United Kingdom

We are recruiting for an experienced and proactive Group Bid & Proposal Writer to join our head office in Gatwick, UK. This newly created job role will be guiding and supporting our group offices in the global tender submission process. Working closely with our Group Government & Humanitarian Cargo Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing agreements and writing proposals for our Government & Humanitarian contracts for the Group, which includes both of our passenger and cargo charter products. The job role holder will likely manage between 2-3 tender proposals at the same time.

We are looking for a confident and engaging communicator to take ownership in the set-up of global library information relating to the proposal submission. With the view to create structure to our current processes and to ensure consistency moving forward, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating a repository for all case studies. The job role holder will interact with our compliance and legal department, Business Intelligence as well as our Group Marketing team based in Gatwick, UK and will be building strong internal relationships with our Charter Brokers in Europe, the UAE and the USA.

The ideal candidate brings up to 5 years’ of corporate experience from working for a freight forwarder, a global shipping company or a governmental organisation. Strong writing skills and experience in filing vendor registration documents and managing the expiry of vendor registrations are essential to bring to this role. Professional translator experience and or fluency in other languages would be desirable for the job role holder to bring, but is not essential.

Purpose of the role

  • To work with all CF group companies to identify suitable tender opportunities; managing compilation and writing of tender submissions and recording/sharing key group data and statistics

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Managing tender submission preparation group-wide.
  • Managing and leading of tender specific task force groups
  • Maintaining subscriptions with bid portals and ensuring search and identify criteria are up to date and effective.
  • Maintaining an up to date tender writing database with sample answers.
  • Maintaining an up to date database of currently awarded tenders/enabling frameworks.
  • Managing ISO and other qualifying documentations required for vendor registrations and tender submissions
  • Managing and submitting group-wide vendor registrations
  • Preparing and writing presentations used by sales and broking teams in collaboration with our Group Marketing team
